UCLA – Hollywood Diversity Report, Part 1: Film

The now biannual Hollywood Diversity Report series has transferred to the Institute for Research on Labour and Employment at UCLA. The reports primarily examine the relationship between racial, ethnic, and gender diversity and the bottom line in the entertainment industry. The first part of this report is dedicated to film, while the second part is dedicated to television. 

A few key figures

of lead actors in theatrical and streaming Hollywood films produced in 2021 are people of color. They have maintained their proportional representation, which was achieved for the first time in 2020.
